Apprentice Technician Wanted Who’s Hungry to Learn The Apprentice Technician we’re looking to add to our team is a service minded team player who has a strong sense of duty and a passion for accuracy. The selfless, process-oriented individual methodically handles each task, striving to perfect everything they learn. Are you someone who has some experience working with vehicles and would like to expand that skillset in a professional environment that gives you all the tools and support to eventually evolve into a certified automotive technician? If so, this could be the “foot-in-the-door” opportunity you’ve been looking for. At Township, our Apprentice Technicians start off learning how to perform all basic routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire changes, brake services, replace filters and perform multi-point health inspections. From there, we’ll move you on to a learning path that will teach you how to do some light repair work such as steering repairs, suspension and module programming. After that, you will work your way towards performing basic diagnostic work and be exposed to more in-depth repairs and so on. We will work closely with you to ensure you have adequate training, experience and hours to start your journey towards the Automotive Apprenticeship Program and eventually become a Red Seal Certified technician. We have processes in place and sure-fire methods to our madness but we’ll bring you right up to speed on how we do things at Township. MVI Technician Needed Who’s a Stickler for Safety The MVI Technician we’re looking to join our shop is someone who is a process-driven, factual communicator with a strong attention to detail. The service-oriented, inspection expert we want has a strong sense of duty when it comes to making sure each vehicle that leaves the dealership meets or exceeds all manufacturer and provincial guidelines when it comes to safety and reliability. If you’re someone who is looking for a new home that gives you variety in your workday, compensates you above industry standards, and gives you all the means to continue to fine tune your automotive skills, please keep on reading. MVI Technicians at Township offer nothing but the highest level of quality control when it comes to servicing customers’ vehicles. As the MVI Technician, you routinely perform thorough inspections of every vehicle that comes across your bay, ensuring they meet the highest standards for safety. You can perform basic diagnostics on vehicle concerns, operate the scan tool, perform inspections for certified vehicles, complete PDIs, install accessories and can perform general vehicle maintenance and repairs, such as brake work. You work closely with the Service Advisors, going over the results of each inspection you perform and making sure all the details are well documented on the repair orders. You ensure that the Advisors understand what you found in your inspections and that they can easily relay those findings to the customer, allowing them to make well-informed decisions regarding their vehicle. Are you someone who is either currently a service station mechanic, has their MVI license (or is in the process of working towards it) and are looking for a change in your career? Service Advisor Needed Who’s an Expert in Juggling The Service Advisor we want on our team is a friendly, personable, well-coordinated, factual information facilitator. The perfect person for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer service focused work environment that is constantly evolving to add more value to the customer’s overall experience. If you’re someone who gets amped up by constantly being around people, enjoys keeping busy yet excels at remembering to follow up with customers throughout the day, this could be the perfect career change for you. The Service Advisors at Township are complete superstars when it comes to relaying information between the customer and the technicians in the shop. When the customer arrives for their appointment, the Service Advisors are first person to greet the customer and confirm the reason for their visit. Upon building rapport with the customer and reviewing the customer’s service history, the Service Advisors are then able to recommend basic maintenance services based on the customer’s needs and lifestyle. From there, it is also Service Advisors job to ensure the right technician gets the right job, based on the complexity of the repair, the skillset and availability of the technician. At the end of the day, the mission of the Service Advisor is to provide a top-tier experience for the customer. They do this by keeping the customer well-informed throughout their visit on the status of their vehicle, relaying the technician’s findings and recommendations and ensuring the customer understands and approves the work being completed, based on the time and cost it takes to complete the repair. Our technicians are sticklers when it comes to quality control and work closely with the front-line service staff, ensuring every repair order accurately reflects the job that was completed. Since you have an appreciation for policies and procedures, you ensure all your work follows the manufacturer’s guidelines and the work coincides with the provincial government safety regulations.
