Pre-Owned Technician Wanted Who's A Thorough Investigator The Pre-Owned Technician we’re looking to join our shop is someone who is a process-driven, factual communicator with a strong attention to detail. The service-oriented, inspection expert we want has a strong sense of duty when it comes to making sure each vehicle that leaves the dealership meets or exceeds all manufacturer and provincial guidelines when it comes to safety and reliability. The Pre-Owned Technicians at Township offer nothing but the highest level of quality control when it comes to servicing the used vehicles that come through the shop. As the Pre-Owned Technician, you routinely perform extensive inspections on every used or certified pre-owned vehicle that comes across your bay, ensuring they meet the highest standards for safety. You can perform basic diagnostics on vehicle concerns, perform inspections for certified vehicles, complete PDIs, operate the scan tool, install accessories and can perform general vehicle maintenance and repairs, such as brake work. You work closely with the Service Advisors and Used Car Sales Manager, going over the results of each inspection you perform, making sure all the details are well documented on the repair orders. You ensure that the Used Car Sales Manager understands what you found in your inspections, allowing them to make an educated decision on how to proceed with the vehicle in question. Are you someone who is either currently a service station mechanic, has their MVI license (or is in the process of working towards it) and are looking for a change in your career? When you're not working on customer vehicles, you and your team can be found performing various tasks out on the lot. This includes ensuring all vehicle displays are properly set up, all vehicles are accessible and presentable and that the lot itself is kept neat and tidy. As the Detail Manager, you’ll also work with the transport companies as they deliver new vehicles, carefully inspecting each vehicle for any damages including scratches, scuffs, or dents and ensuring everything is well-documented.
